Part 4

We at The Gatherings Place firmly believe in the engagement of conversation. Proverbs 24:6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in MULTITUDE of counsellors there is safety. Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the MULTITUDE of counselors there is safety. Take some time and get involved in this conversation. You don’t need to be a Bible scholar to have questions or thoughts about what is going on in our world today. Be a part of the “multitude of counsellors”. The church is called to walk worthy of the vocation given by the Lord. In Ephesians 4:1-15, we are reminded of the importance of unity in the body of Christ. We are urged to embrace lowliness, meekness, and longsuffering, bearing with one another in love to maintain the unity of the Spirit in peace. As believers, we are part of one body, united by one Spirit and one hope, faith, baptism, and God. Each believer is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Christ gave various roles to individuals in the church for its edification, such as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, aiming for the unity of faith and knowledge of Christ. However, many churches today struggle with disunity and focusing on man-made agendas, leading to a consumer-driven approach. It is crucial for the church to operate as a unified body, utilizing the full array of spiritual gifts bestowed upon its members for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Let us heed the call to unity in the body of Christ, speaking the truth in love and growing together to attain the fullness of Christ. May we not be swayed by worldly doctrines but stand firm in our faith, working together to fulfill the purpose for which we are called.
